Alexis is a facilitator, program specialist and manager. She believes deeply in the power of collective liberation, the importance of being accountable to each other and our communities, and grassroots social change. Personally, she is dedicated to lifelong learning about transformative & healing justice, community-led systems change, and anti-oppression.
Alexis has a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University School of Social work. She has worked in crisis de-escalation and conflict resolution, youth development, community mental health, and educational access. As an organizer she has worked to dismantle white supremacy in individuals and communities, uplift QTPOC-led racial justice campaigns, and sought collective buy-in for systemic social issues.
Alexis specializes in program development that is trauma informed, anti-oppressive, and rooted in revolutionary love. She has skills in deep community building, collective visioning, de-escalation, conflict resolution, and mental health support. Some of the organizations she is proud to have served and learned from are The Door - A Center of Alternatives, SURJ (Showing up for Racial Justice), The Katal Center, SEED (Supporting Educational Equity and Diversity), and TRiO/Upward Bound.
