Claudia VillaCova is a trauma informed, liberation focused, somatic clinical therapist and medicine woman who grounds her work within the medicine wheel tradition as taught to her by her elders.
Her anti-oppression body of work includes: circle keeper, group facilitation (community work and organizationally), curriculum development for anti-oppression work, dream & vision work, retreats supporting bodies in anti-oppression work and psycho-spiritual consulting/mentoring for individuals and organizational leadership looking to align their work with ecological coherence. Claudia has over 25 years of field experience. She grew up with one foot in Mēxihco and one foot in the USA, learning to straddle two distinct cultures while being nurtured by her two abuelas, one of which was a given the role of curandera by her community.
Claudia’s early developmental exposure to a culture rich with dreams, limpias, herbs, culturally informed healing, ceremony and ritual…gave her a rich foundation from which to pursue her graduate degree in clinical psychology and expandher understanding of an embodied holistic approach to health, ecology & psycho-spiritual wellness within the personal, relational and community/Earth systems.
Claudia continues her own personal work within her native traditions which includes ancestral work, ceremonial plant medicine, dream work and body work under the teachings and guidance of her elders. She has dedicated her life to weaving her indigenous medicine, with her western training into her DEI and circle work towards liberation and ecologicalcoherence and wellness.
